Paige VanZant Ditches Team Alpha Male For Chael Sonnen's Gym In Oregon

Paige VanZant has been at Team Alpha Male for pretty much her entire career. It’s a phenomenal gym led by Urijah Faber known for terrifying guillotine chokes and superb grappling, and they just recently got their first UFC Championship with Cody Garbrandt taking home the gold in December. They’ve also done some questionable photoshoots in the past.

As of right now, there’s no concrete reason as to why she left, but I think it’s a bunch of different factors coming together.

-Chael explains that before she was bullied out of high school*, she lived in Oregon.

-Recently having her second UFC loss take place in Sacramento (where the gym is located) may have made Paige think she was banished from the city (she was not, that is not how losses work).

-Urijah Faber retired from MMA, and Cody Garbrandt is the new main focus of the gym. Faber’s been preaching the No Love brand for years, but now that he’s the UFC Bantamweight Champion, he IS Team Alpha Male…and he IS Paige’s ex-boyfriend. With him in the limelight, it’s entirely possible (and understandable) that she just wants out. It’s basic human emotions at work.

Could be one/all of those three, could be an outlier, we don’t know at this point. I’m positive it’ll all come out very soon. Here’s your pictures of Paige, perverts.

*Still not buying the story about her being bullied out of high school. I’m sorry, I’m just not. I know who bullies come after. They’re not ridiculous smokes. They’re the people who are on the local news for being first in line for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Never seen a bully make fun of a hot chick for making the varsity cheerleading team.
